You should think about getting a home energy audit. You’ll be glad you did. it’s the fastest way to find out what’s really going on with the energy performance of your home. And since we take the whole house approach, you’ll find out everything about the systems of your home and how they work together.For example, we will check how quickly the air turns over in your home and whether or not you have adequate ventilation. Energy Consuming Appliances
We will also check on the highest energy consuming appliances in your home and possibly make recommendations about them as well. In the end, you will have the information that you need in order to prioritize the Energy efficiency of your home. Most importantly, we follow the guidelines setout in the DOE Air Sealing guidelines . This means we will air seal a home before it’s insulated or we wont insulate it
Schedule Your Energy Audit
We can also test your heating and air conditioning (HVAC) system to see how well it’s performing in conjunction with the energy audit. Currently we can provide this service for an additional $189.
This test will tell you exactly how your system is performing and what (if any) steps can be taken to make it more energy efficient. There is no obligation for using our services beyond the energy audit. But we aim to be extremely technical with our installations and will “test out” and provide evidence of the percentage of air loss improvement after we perform the work (should you decide to use us as your insulation and energy retrofit contractor).
